POSITION: INSTRUCTOR OF COMPUTER SCIENCE (ONE YEAR APPOINTMENT)

EFFECTIVE DATE: Fall Semester, 2022

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in Computer Science, or similar field.

 

DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: a commitment to teaching excellence, prior successful teaching at post-secondary level, and experience providing learning support to students who are under-prepared for, and/or struggle with, computer science.

 

DUTIES: Responsibilities include teaching 12 credit hours each semester of a broad range of computer science courses. The courses to be taught are negotiable based on the experience of the applicant. A willingness to support the mission of the University, familiarity with current trends in computer science and computer science education, as well as the ability to use instructional technology to enhance students learning is expected of the successful candidate. While the primary focus is on teaching, the applicant is expected to actively participate in departmental service and Faculty meetings.

Three to five reference names must be provided, at least a couple that could speak about teaching abilities.
