To learn more about Grand View’s commitment to diversity, and to read our entire Diversity Statement, click on this link: https://www.grandview.edu/about/diversity ASSISTANT PROFESSOR IN CHEMISTRY EFFECTIVE DATE: Fall Semester, 2025 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. in Organic or Medicinal Chemistry, or related field with training or research experience in the area of Organic Chemistry. DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with instrument operation and maintenance is desirable. Preference will be given to candidates who are able to teach all levels of undergraduate chemistry. DUTIES: The successful candidate will be expected to develop and teach a range of courses including those designed primarily for Chemistry and Biology majors (e.g. General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry), chemistry courses for non-science majors and courses in the general education core. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to inclusive and culturally responsive pedagogy and a commitment to continued growth in these practices. Other duties include advising a diverse population of students, and participating in activities that serve the Department, University and community.
